Class Descriptions:

Red Ball Class
The emphasis of this program is on fun, as well as developing hand/eye coordination and basic tennis fundamentals.  The main goal of this program is to lay the foundation for the love of the game.

 

Orange Ball Class
This class is designed for players with the average age of 7-12.  Emphasis in this class will be in the development of sound fundamentals.  All classes will be designed to promote the enjoyment of learning tennis.  Instructive games are used to improve the tennis game while having fun. 

 

Green Ball Class
This class is suggested for those with basic tennis experience.  Each student will be working on mastering the basic stroke fundamentals, proper movement and basic singles and doubles strategy.  The average age range for this class is 11-14 years old, but is dependent on each child’s playing ability. 

 

Junior/High School Clinic
This class is designed for the junior high and high school players that are competing at the high school level or for those who are striving to compete at this level.

 

Mommy & Me Class (NEW IN 2011!)
Mommy & Me is a class designed to teach parents and kids to have fun and play the game together.  Age range of kids is 5-8 years old.  The class will be set up with QuickStart format using red and orange balls along with 36’ and 60’ courts.

 

Satellite Circuit-Green/Yellow Ball (Intermediate)
This class is designed for those players that have basic tournament experience and are striving to achieve a District ranking.  Classes will focus on fine tuning fundamental, improving overall consistency and patterns of play through point playing.  This class is the final step to moving on to the Grand Slam class.

 

Grand Slam (Advanced)
This is the programs top class.  This class is designed for the players that are striving for a District to National Ranking.  Players in this class should be playing tournaments on a regular basis.  Each class will focus on patterns of play for singles and doubles, point playing analysis, up to date sports science information, conditioning and stroke fundamental fine-tuning.  All of this will be geared to helping each student reach his or her highest potential level.  Mark and Kim will make final decisions on students in this class.

 

Junior Challenge Ladder (back by popular demand)
Match play is a very important aspect of player development.  Our professional staff arranges one hour matches for our juniors during the week.  Weekly results will be kept and the juniors will be places on a junior challenge ladder.  This year we will continue to offer all match play days and times for our red, orange and green ball players.

 

Junior Conditioning Class
A big part of our juniors' success has been their continued improvment not only on the court, but also off of the court. This class is designed to help each player improve their overall conditioning and footwork. Contact Sean for details.

 

Laurel Hill Group and Private Lesson Policies :

Make up Policy
We ask that all make ups be done in the session that the class is missed in and paid for. All make up classes must be approved prior to the class by callign Laurel Hill to confirm that there is room in the desired maek up class.

Payment Policy
For members, charges will be placed on your account the first day of the selected class, challenge match, private lesson or event. All non-members will be asked to provide payment on the first day of the session. All prices will be based on the sessions listed unless the program is a weekly sign-up event.

24 Hour Cancellation Policy
All private lesson and court reservations require a 24-hour cancellation. If a court or lesson is cancelled inside of 24 hours, the holder of the court or lesson is responsible for all fees associated with it (court rate or private lesson fee), unless the court was resold or lesson time was filled another person.
